These song lists are not necessarily the author's collection of favorites, rather they are songs what work within the story: mostly 70s hits
that influenced Ben for decades, for the rest of his life.  Since the book's topic is very dark at times, music provides some diversion
for the characters and for the reader.  Ben's alphabet continues: America, Bread, CCR, Carlos Santana, Skynyrd...Warren Zevon.

Please share any songs that you feel contribute to this cause, or just say in your comments that you enjoy a particular tune.  We want to hear from you - your tunes, artists or One Hit Wonders.  From ABBA to ZZ Top and all forms of music from Cold Play to Green Day, from Blue Rodeo to Blood Sweat & Tears from Dave Matthews Band to Earth Wind & Fire and Guess Who? How about Three DegreesThe Supremes?

Who's your favorite singer or band? What's your favorite song or music video?  Here's Ben's favorite rock song that features no lead guitar. Even Step Child gets to wRap around the subject here... Aerosmith and Bob Seger with a couple of big hits.  Also check out live performances by Scottish singer-songwriters Al Stewart in Year of the Cat  & Gerry Rafferty'sG Baker Street; Rod Stewart, Sheena too.

References to pop music and some applicable lyrics help provide a backdrop to the story's emotional landscape, none more than George Harrison's oft-debated "My Sweet Lord" (2003 tribute by Clapton, Preston, McCartney, Starr and many others including Harrison's son).

Typically only song titles are mentioned in Delivering Diamonds and the hits' general effects on Ben & Claire. Lyrics are used only with advance permission (BMI, ASCAP, etc).  Here are some memories from Steely DanEddie Money and Name that Band!  "Owner of the Lonely Heart" by Yes
