The crater shown above is 3,520 feet in diameter but all diamonds won't fit there. The Diamond Head connection and different levels of symbolism are explained in the book Delivering Diamonds.
We are gathering names and stories of "lost" diamonds. These are the children taken from their loved ones at a young age (usually 0-18 years). Our goal is to feature children from all races and religions, every socioeconomic background, starting in the USA. These on-line tributes will include links to individual Webpages with photos and biographies, where available.
Each child will be honored with a diamond symbol, representing enduring value. In some cases, links to other Websites such as America's Most Wanted will provide updates on open investigations.
Of course, these are extremely sensitive matters. Careful consideration and - where possible - interaction with victims' families will help guide us on the appropriate material to use on this Website.
Thank you for your suggestions - you will soon have the opportunity to submit your ideas and feedback - especially valuable will be the names and stories of "Diamonds" that you know. We all have been touched by the stories of children taken from our midst.
May we find comfort in knowing that these kids are not lost to us forever...
Shown in the diamond below is a six year old girl who was killed in 2009:
Taken but not forgotten. Lost but not forever:

Dedicated to all child victims of crimes and war:
....and so many others yet to be named. what can be learned from their tragic departures?
